Ric Shwisberg serves as Morgan’s Senior Vice President/General Counsel-West Coast. Ric’s primary responsibilities include assisting with the pre-development and development phases of projects, as well as in the acquisition, financing and disposition process for Morgan’s projects on the West Coast. In addition, together with Morgan’s General Counsel, Ric serves as legal counsel to the company.

Prior to joining Morgan, Ric spent over 17 years as a member and partner of the San Diego law firm Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP. As the former leader of the firm’s real estate team, his practice encompassed all aspects of commercial real estate development, including development planning, acquisition, financing, leasing and disposition of multifamily, office, retail and industrial projects.

Ric received his undergraduate degree in business administration from Boston University. He received his JD from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1981 and was also admitted to the State Bar of California in 1981.
